About Job:
• Develop and refine boarding policies and procedures (e.g., daily routines, safety protocols, codes of conduct) to align with the school’s culture and educational philosophy.
• Oversee daily dormitory operations, including hygiene inspections, facility maintenance, and safety patrols (fire safety, medical emergencies, etc.), to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for students.
• Manage boarding fees, procurement, and budget control to optimize resource allocation.
• Organize boarding student activities (e.g., cultural festivals) to foster a diverse, inclusive community atmosphere.
• Address student disciplinary issues (e.g., late returns, conflicts), implement progressive disciplinary measures, and communicate outcomes with parents and academic departments.
• Coordinate room allocations and adjustments, balancing student needs (e.g., grade level, cultural background) with operational efficiency.
• Provide regular updates to parents on their child’s boarding progress and conduct parent meetings or virtual communication sessions.
• Establish an emergency contact system to promptly respond to student crises (e.g., illness, mental health concerns) and notify parents accordingly.
• Collaborate with academic departments and the counselling team to build a boarding student mental health support network, working with the school counselling centre to deliver mental health screenings and individual/group counselling sessions.
• Train boarding staff to identify signs of student mental health crises (e.g., mood swings, social withdrawal) and establish a rapid response protocol.
• Design targeted workshops (e.g., stress management, cross-cultural adaptation) to enhance students’ resilience.
About You:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Education, Management or related fields; holding a valid teaching qualification certificate; candidates with a psychological counselor certificate are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of school boarding management experience, including at least 2 years of moral education work experience in a school setting.
• Strong cross cultural communication skills, crisis management capabilities, team collaboration and leadership skills.
• Passionate about education, patient and caring towards students; required to reside on campus full‑time. Familiarity with local regulatory requirements from education, fire safety, health and other authorities is highly preferred.
