About School:

We are an American high school located in Shanghai, China. Our 500 G9-G12 students aim to study abroad in the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore etc. We currently employ 40 subject teachers, of whom at least 50% are International teachers from around the globe. Our students study both the US Common Core and AP curricula. Our school is at an exciting time in its development, where we seek to recruit experienced and professional high school teachers to join us on our journey as we continue to grow, evolve, and expand.

About Job:

• Under the guidance of the Academic Principal and Subject Leader, develop teaching plans in accordance with the curriculum syllabus.
• Ensure the quality of classroom teaching by effectively managing all teaching procedures, including lesson preparation, instruction, tutoring, teaching progress, assignment marking, and examinations.
• Participate in professional learning activities within the subject team, research and resolve teaching issues, and summarize and exchange teaching experience.
• Monitor and manage students’ learning outcomes and progress, and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Serve as a homeroom teacher or student mentor, organize and supervise students’ social practice activities or inquiry-based learning.
• Assist in organizing students to participate in various cultural, sports, club, and overseas exchange activities.
• Complete other teaching-related tasks assigned by the school.

About You:

• Native speaker of English or to have obtained a university degree in which the instructional language was English.
• Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in History or a relevant field.
• Two or more years of high school History teaching experience.
• Teaching License/Qualification.
