About School:

We are an American high school located in Shanghai, China. Our 500 G9-G12 students aim to study abroad in the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore etc. We currently employ 40 subject teachers, of whom at least 50% are International teachers from around the globe. Our students study both the US Common Core and AP curricula. Our school is at an exciting time in its development, where we seek to recruit experienced and professional high school teachers to join us on our journey as we continue to grow, evolve, and expand.

About Job:

• Design and deliver AP English Language & Composition courses in line with College Board standards and exam requirements.
• Teach rhetorical analysis, argumentative writing, synthesis, and close reading to prepare students for the AP exam.
• Develop and grade essays, multiple-choice assessments, and portfolios; provide targeted feedback on writing skills.
• Analyze student performance data to adjust instruction and support exam readiness and score improvement.
• Collaborate with the English department to align curriculum, share best practices, and maintain consistent rigor.
• Differentiate instruction to support EAL learners, advanced students, and those needing additional writing support.
• Organize exam preparation sessions, practice tests, and writing workshops to maximize student AP scores.

About You:

• Native speaker of English or to have obtained a university degree in which the instructional language was English.
• Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in English, Writing, Linguistics, or other related discipline.
• Two or more years of high school English Literature and/or Composition teaching experience.
• Teaching License/Qualification.
