Overview:

This two-day interactive workshop ensures a blend of theoretical insights and cutting-edge AI applications for inclusive learning design. Participants will leave equipped to create adaptive, inclusive environments that foster agency and collaborative learning for all students.
Participants will explore the goal of UDL and learn to leverage its framework to create conditions for learner agency. A key highlight is training on using LUDIA, the AI-powered UDL thought partner, a tool designed to amplify the expertise of teachers and provide contextually specific guidance through the lens of UDL.


Educators in this workshop will:

  • • Examine the cornerstones of UDL approaches and connections with differentiated instruction

  • • Explore learner variability and the components of UDL learning prep

  • • Design universally engaging and accessible instructional routines

  • • Reimagine assessments to enhance flexibility in student engagement and expression.


Workshop Leader Biography: Beth Stark

Beth is passionate about inclusive learning design and partners with international schools as a professional learning facilitator specialising in UDL implementation. She is dedicated to igniting inclusive inquiry for all learners and is the co-creator of LUDIA, the AI-Powered UDL thought partner, used by educators in over one hundred countries, and counting. Beth is passionate about inclusive learning design and has sixteen years of IB international school experience. She holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals' Training Center. As a lead UDL associate for ECIS, Beth co-facilitates the ECIS UDL Certification Programme with Dr. Loui Lord Nelson. She lives in Germany, served as the Co-Chairperson of the UDL-IRN Implementation Special Interest Group, is an ISTE certified educator, and a CPACC certified member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.

Refund Policy:
  • • If the workshop is canceled for reasons beyond our control and we are unable to find a suitable alternative time for most participants, IES will inform participants of the cancellation and refund the actual paid registration fee only, additional expenses (such as hotel accommodations, transportation, etc.) are not eligible for refunds;
  • • If a registered participant notifies IES of their disability to attend before 01/03/2026, IES will issue a refund of the actual paid registration fee. However, if this notification occurs after 01/03/2026, IES will not be able to provide a refund.

Certificate: E-certificate signed by Beth Stark will be issued after the workshop.
